Research project between CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics) x RCA (the Royal College of Art).
Built on top of the Grand Challenge project – which saw a total of 374 RCA students working on design solutions that incorporated CERN technologies – this study explores new methodologies of mapping patterns of response and participation, fluctuating moods and overall synchronisation between students working in groups.
Taking inspiration from particle physics, the procedural shapes are the result of the various behavioural “forces” that push and pull on the group-system moment by moment in the interaction.
